well, yeah.. this weekend Chennai got some rain. Wasnt so bad as in June in Mumbai, but still was oretty wet out here.Thanks for ( i dont really know who) but India has home delivery food which saved me last weekend:) i didnt go out from my home all weekend, watched lots of episodes of Friends & had nice and lazy weekend...on monday was going to work with slippers and carrying shoes in my bag:)

Still B-day celebrations

I came back home from Sri Lanka, on the way asked Astrid( my flatmate) if there are any plans for the night.. and she said everybody is tired and doing nothing:)
guess what===>>> im coming home and there is a suprise party for my B-day, because the real one I had far away and alone:) My flatmates and T-Nagar ppl came together for nice pizza and beer evening on our lovely rooftop! These things can definetely go to my list" this makes me very happy"

next day at work, got so many greetings, even my b-day was one week ago! that's very nice too:)...i guess they kind of like me;)

so, now really, everybody knows that I am one year older.

Sri Lanka adventure- Finito!

Well... my mission SRI LANKA, BABY - almost accomplished. Today came back from Kandy- very nice place in the centre of an island. That's pretty much how I imagine solitude holiday before coming here.

I was staying in a very nice and old hotel, just in the centre of the town, by the lake and temple. The hotel is very old and I was kidding that you can feel like living in 1907 not in 2007:)

Yesterday went to see elepahts- there were soooo many and sooo cute!!! got mln of pictures! well... my memory space was finished this morning already:) Elephants taking bath:)

To sum up- Sri Lanka is awesome place, with amazing nature, sky- closer than ever before, beautiful and powerul ocean, stunnig sunsets, nice and wild beaches, sweetest coconuts, tallest palmtrees, warm, sometimes bit annoying ppl! This was an adventure! Im very prowed of myself I finished this alone!:) Good job, Ieva!=)

Nice hotel, awesome sunset, cold beer and writing postcards to my dears! Sounds just perfect...
Tomorrow coming back home, coming to Chennai! Back to work, back to accomplish my second half of my BiG Adventure:)

Sri Lanka, Baby...and October 11th

It's been five days when I'm enoying Sri Lanka and six days since i arrived... but the first day i slept ( well, i enoyed that too), so to be correct, IT's been six days Im enjoying Sri Lanka!
In Colombo Im staying with AIESEC trainees. There is one lithuanian girl ( there are LT everywhere!) and she helped me and was really warm host here:) Actually, trainees live in a real house here=) it's very cool place.
One of the main reassons I came here - to get new Indian visa and continue my stay in Chennai for next 6 month... well... in total I've visited Indian embassy 5 times... spend at least 10 hours waiting in the sun, some stupid lines..my visa is approved( event at the very firs they came back all my documents and told that nothing can be done!!!)..but I will be finally happy when I hold my passport with Indian visa for next 6 month in my hands
After all this mess.. i travelled along the west cost to the South... this place is AWESOME... and I really mean it!
Yesterday was very special day, the day when officially I became one year older. I spend my day in a wild beach, on the west coast.the place is surferst paradise ( at least ppl say that). It was the firs B-day ever when I was absolutely alone, there was nobody I knew for more than 10 hours. I had very nice dinner at the restorant on the coast... but empty chairs around me made me realise how much I miss my friends.

I cant tell you how happy I was getting all these calls and messages from my friends from all around the world! REALLY!!!!

Got to go, my embassy mission is calling me:)

BiG Adventure: continued

It's been more than five month since I came to India! 5 MONTH!!! I can't believe that time goes so fast...as one of my friend says: blink of an eye! I cant agree more.

There are so many things I have alreday discovered/experienced, there are so much more to do and discover! NO chance to get bored;)I've been working a lot, I've been travelling a lot, I've been doing so many and crazy thing with amazing ppl here...i know, telling this is more or less telling nothing.
hmm, now im sitting and trying to tell smth, but it seems i m sitting infront of 100000 peaces puzzle and trying to make the picture.

Tomorrow one big trip ahead- I'm going to Sri Lanka! Yeah, Sri Lanka was one oh my old dreams, Im happy the time has come to discover this piece of Earth! The only difference- im going there alone, all alone ( ok, maybe not so alone, today i bought Lonely Planet Sri Lanka). New Adventure is coming up!
