Momenets of Indian traffic

Yesterday saw it on the way from my work. Catafalque or a hearse , in many other cases it's popular taxi car model, pretty crowded ( at least 4 ppl, 1 driver and body)... but the best part- open trunk.
Indian roads are not the best ones in the world, I hope they didnt loose anything from the car while jumping on speed brakers or just holes on the road...

Etiquette vs India

One of the things I'm enjoying most at my work- campaigns! Etiquette campaign is coming up. Today I tried to look for some books at Landmark ( one of the biggest book stores in Chennai)... first I was suggested to look in "self development/improvement" section, near "relationship" section. Good news!!! huge stalls full of books, now it's up to you: become millionaire in year or take 10-100 steps...but how to behave when you are millionaire - nobody knows, nobody cares.

The only thing I managed to find there was Etiquettet for Dummies. When inquired books on protocol...shop assistant took me to astrology section ( no logical connection, at least in my head)

I think that David' picture and caption shows general approach to good manners ( ok, at least SOME manners) This notice is in the middle of bus station, Chennai.
"What? I can't pee in the middle of the bus stand? Damn!"

Meeting tiger or one more awesome weekend

weeend with colleagues somewhere in the middle of nowhere? Why not!=)
43 ppl spend all weekend together... no stress, no stugling, easy going weekend ( even for organizators)...saw "out of the office" faces and behaviour.
The place we went ( overnight train journey and 3 hours by bus) so it's really in the middle of nowhere... it reminded Lithuania very much- lake, some birds flying around, calm, silent and peaceful...nothing like Chennai. Evening cam fire was also like old good times in scouts camp:)

Beautiful, fun and simple time where all of us had no designations, suits, badge cards:)

I was really very nicely impressed by some people! Lot's of songs, cards games, and talks! that's the furmula of great weeend out. This was just phenominal trip... also dont forget to mention the fact that on jeep safari we saw a real TIGER in the forest!!.... also knowing myself as not the best morning person... i managed to kick myself from the softest bed I ever slept i India at 6 am and took boat safari ( no tiger this time...better stayed in that divine bed!)

One more great thing- Jacuzzi bath in every hut and big swiming pool....well, my colleagues ( wishing me all the best) didnt want let me go swim there. they agreed only if I swim with my normal clothes...well, at the end, after long discussions i was enjoing my swim:) ah...cultural difeerences once again! how fun is this?!!

p.s. it's been 2 weeks and ppl still talking about this trip!!!
