Alcatel-Lucent...or the place where I spend most of my time in India

Rickshaw drivers always ready to rip you off!
One of Alcatel-Lucent buildings. I "live" on the 7th floor.

Some of my HR colleagues=)
The last, but not the least- my desk...bit messy, creative environment:)

Vive la France!

"Fête Nationale" or better known as "quatorze juillet" !!!!!
Honestly I am not a big fan of France ( there are couple of stories behind that;))
Anywayz, this weekend quatorze juillet therefore we are going down to Pondicherry, probably the most french place in all India!

Do you have enough patience to get used to everything you can not change?

Please give us the courage to change the things we can change, the serenity to accept the things we can't change, and the wisdom to see the difference (Vonnegut)

I’ve got this rephrased form a friend of mine. He was asking me “ Ar turi kantrybes pripasti prie visko, to ko negali pakeisti?/ Do you have enough patience to get used to everything you can not change?”

This rephrased quote from Vonnegut is written on my whiteboard at work. I find it very actual for India and getting yourself comfortable here. I have it written in LT, so it’s only for meJ sometimes it’s a hint for the conversation, because ppl start asking what’s written in the strange language? Other tree top topics for converstion: food ( here/back home), how do I like India and weather ( here/back home).

The other explanation about India and getting/not getting along with it…India is a game with it’s own rules and either you accept the rules and play the game or you just quit the game.

First of all...officially announce that I've joind facebook! yeah.. I always keep getting invitations to joing different networks online, but usually I dont. I was so surprised how may my friend are there!

First of all, all India is crazy about criket and movies! I havn't seen any criket yet ( sometimes i get a strange look when ppl finds it out;)) and yes...movies! I've seen few movies from Bollywood and....

Yesterday was a big day- I saw my first Tamil movie in my life... Everybody goes crazy about that movie and the main actor...few days ago I even found the article about that on bbc news.
What can I say- that's not my type of movie.... I went home duering the break ( yeah, they always have breaks in the movies...maybe because actors need to take some rest:))...it was after midnight alreday...I didnt see the point to sit in the cinema and waist my sleep time:)
