Rethinking

Some math and confirming stereotype, denying my previous sayings. Basically, confirming stereotype.
What am I talking about? Is India cheap?! That's a question we were discussing quite a lot...there were many opinions and conclusions. Well, the conclusion was that cheap India is stereotype.
Today on the way from work I stopped at the shop... I had two full bags of nice things( that's a matter of your taste)...BUT the fact is:
+1 kg of wonderful tomatoes
+1 big Pineapple( ananasas;)
+2 guavas
+many lemon
+0,5 kg of carrot
+1 big cauliflower
+few big cucumbers
+coconut from coconut-man on the corner and all this for

=1,47 EUR.... it makes me rethink

Weekend trip to Pondicherry, probably the most french place in India, was good get away from chennai. Even I am not big fan of France, that place is on my list " it makes me happy"
Fiday night wondering around night Pondi streets we ended up in THE HOSTEL, where me and Shyna had the worst palce to sleep experience. This time was not that bad...rather funny

Weekend chill in Aurobeach, sharing beach hut with friends, strangers, new aquaitances and lots of mosquitos. Evening under the moonlight, just on the coast was great and easy, there many questions and answers came. Gooooooood



Some phenominal moments of our weekend, including high math...when 24 by3 is 7.... because 7x3 is 21, then 3 by 3.....J.Bond free style runing, hot and baby hugs :)

Grooming Secrets for the Corporate Woman

This weekend Im going to the seminar Grooming Secrets for the Corporate Woman organized by FICCI Ladies Organization, Chennai chapter.

The topics coverd in the seminar will be ( hold on, and imagine me sitting witha serious face there) Body language and fine dining, Corporate make-up, Mind and body fintess, Corporate attire and accessories....

Happy Pongal

Pongal is the last holiday of holidays marathon here, which started with Diwali and every few weeks we were celebrating something.
Indians have some very intersting traditions, e.g. for each holiday to wear new cloths....no wonder that they are so crazy about shopping! Diwalis, Pongal, Chritmas, NY, Eid...different religions, roots, but ppl are crazy about shopping the same:)

Today we had Shenoy Nagar girls shopping... 50%off flat NIKE sale... who could resist that, afterwards nice lunch in one of oasis of Chennai-Amethyst

Funny tourists

I think it's a serious singn that I "suindejau".

Even the plan for the weekend was beachhuts near Pondicherry, it happend so, that me and Irene ended up in Mahabs. ..and I cant believe it's the same Mahabs!
...there were no free room im my usual guest house
...traditional "yellow" breakfast place was packed from the morning almost till lunch time, even in the evening when we wanted to get their pancakes for desert
...streets full of funny looking tourists, wearing widepants, bindis, all other atributes, they believe makes them to look and feel indians.
They look simply funny:)

Time

Yesterday when I was landing in India after more than 2 weeks of holiday in Singapore and Malaysia, I was thinking- 4 month left, how I will survive it here.
Today I was thinking- only 4 month left, time goes so fast.

Malaysia today- the last one

The last day in Langkawi, the last day in Malaysia, the last day of holiday. It was just great!
The sun was very bright and the white sand looked even whiter, the water even more blue/green, unfortunatelly jelly-fish was still there.

Then we got looooooooooooong trip to KL first taking taxi->ferry->bus->another bus...and at 2 am we are wondring somewhere in china town in KL:) while waiting for a flight ( 9.45) we checked number of McDonalds, slept at the airport, took a cab and a bus and finally standing in a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge check in line realized that going home, home to Chennai:)

The trip was fun: number of passengers were bear feet, when the plain was landing some ppl were feeling like a chat and were standing ( even flight attendants were sitting at that moment), other ppl start taking their stuff from the shelf above, when flight attendant start shouting, they just start giggling and sat down:)

All mln auto driver in Chennai wanting you to bring for 3 times bigger price, sounds, dust, crowd was very clear message- holiday is finished. welcome home, welcome to India.

Malaysia TODAY- III part

Today sucessfully finished biking tour in the island. Wokw up early to drive, because we hade to bring out scooties by noon. Was a nice roud, very empty, sriving up to the mountain in the morning, bit reminded indian summer- bit chilly, some yellow leaves, sun shyning:) great!
After lazying around on the beach ( btw, im still like a toast with jam:)) having great time on the beach bars... sitting few meters away from the water, listening nice music, bare feet in the soft sand... can you imagine better begining of Jan?
but.. all good things come to an end. tomorrow leaving to KL and catching flight home - home to India.

Malaysia- TODAY

Well- one more thing I can add to my "never ever tried before " list- I was riding bike, ok, to be honest scooter! firlst time in my life!
today around noon we got 2 scooties and went around the island...i was bit burned after yesterday, got more burned today..look like a toast with jam:)))lol
had great time today- saw waterfalls and were swiming in them ( not olny one!!) saw awesome sunsuet in beautiful white sand beach in the noth west of the island, just all day was very dynamic and adventures:)
have to admit- i felt down twice today: first time- making my first turn with a bike, second time runing from monkeys near waterfalls.
Plan for tomorrow- drive early in the morning on the mountaing to have breakfast there, knowing me as " a morning person"...let's see

Malaysia today

Malaysia trip- contined. Yesterday arrived to Langkawi island, one of the best beaches of Malaysia. Today finally after 10 intensive days of travelling got to enjoy sun, water and white sand:)
RESULT: happy, relaxed, burned...;)
