weekly update or beer every night! yeah, that's belgium

Hey!! Well, what’s new? Recent updates from my daily life. On Saturday I was continuing my Brussels discovery trip, finally, in the late noon I ended up in cosy place, a bit further from main tourist spots and finished reading my book, together enjoying exotically looking, but very tasty mint tea. Yeah, Sunday morning…still the same question…wHy? WhY? but I really enjoyed the volley game and the company we had in there. It’s really worth to get yourself on Sunday morning for that! Afterwards we continued cooking tradition, this time, my roomie Ewa was introducing polish cuisine ;) great! well, this time we gathered mainly east, south east Europeans plus one asian; we had really good time sharing history moments, telling absurdist stories from soviet union times, unfortunately true stories. And ended up watching Friends! Perfect Sunday!
On Monday it was unexpected bye bye gathering for a crazy Indian guy! It’s amazing when after short notice, on Monday night, how may ppl came to give a hug and have a beer with him! Yeah, somebody was still in office cloths ( workaholics!!!)…I can just imagine how Kuntal was feeling seeing such a crowd of friend, part of his best year (as he told us) in one of our traditional gathering places. Bye bye things is one of hardest things here, but that’s the life! You have to move forward…
Tuesday night was our sailing weekend crew meeting! Btw, we were too big group for one ship, so we took two ships…well, after that evening I can say, I cant wait for the weekend when we go sailing!!!!! Even experienced guys tried to talk very “down to earth” or maybe a bit scare newies, but I am sure we gonna have great time…sence of humour, spices of nationalities, great ppl…hope weather will be good too!
Ok, wed night, was kind of countries presentations night organized by aiesec guys…it’s nice idea. But at some point it looked a bit fake, well, it was bit obvious that it was done “ because we have to”, not because “yeah!!! We want to”. Well, I am not talking about all ppl, some of them had that fire in their eyes and passion for discovery. Anyways it was nice evening…even though we’ve missed our last metro and had crazy taxi trip home..first of all taxi driver shouted on us, then he was Arabic looking and listening kind of aggressive music ( like, yeah kill Israel, bomb usa and smthe like this...) I am not talking about his driving…Jan ( my colleague) who was sitting next to me, I saw him slowly taking seat belt and holding to the doorJ
Yesterday night bunch of trainees we went to the club, well, smb says it’s the best one in brussles…usually it’s normal club, but on Thursdays it’s called club @ seven and you can get there only with membership card, but smb organized a guest list, so we couldn’t miss it…plust it’s just a five min walking from my home…yeah…the place was really cool! In a like for a beer I met few LithuaniansJ nice ppl, no “forsu” ( that;s special word for special kind of ppl..really often founded in kaunas or alytus..lol). Well, we had really good time, but It closes early…that’s the minus of this place, but on the other hand, you leave it when you are still enjoyingJ
Aaaand today is great day, not because it’s Friday, and I am having my first holiday here ( come back to work only on Thursday) but today my parents is coming to brussles!!! Last time I saw them for a few days then I was moving back from kaunas and repacking to Belgium, so basically I had no time and before that was all the graduation stuff, sooo, to sum up, havnt seen them for long! Hope we have some nice days in here;)
Cheers! Enjoy the Friday!!!
